“Bald Eagle’, 21″ X 30”, watercolour, 1985.
This was one of my first reasonably successful attempts at using watercolour paints. I didn’t know how to do the trees, or the bird. But the mountain, Mount Garibaldi, I could see from our backyard. The white can only be achieved by leaving the paper unpainted. However I broke this rule on the dead cedar in the foreground, and with the highlights on the trees in the mid-ground.
well I’m impressed …
Thank you
